Join us for a 2 day workshop, where we will explore the ancient art of coiled basketry, using a variety of natural fibers and handmade needles. The first day will consist of crafting bone needles from deer bones, and on the second day we will make our baskets using those needles.

About the event
how to weave your very own basket! We'll employ several different weaving techniques in order to create a strong and beautiful basket that you can use for foraging, or in the kitchen and garden. We'll plan to make a basket about 8 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Basket size and shape may vary according to your desire and proficiency. This is a beginner class, but some hand strength and dexterity are required.
